Most haircare treats the hair. We'd rather start at the scalp, because that's the only part of the system where anything is still happening. The length of your hair is already made, and while you can protect and condition it, you can't improve it from within.
What's in the range
The Mega Growth Elixir is a lightweight botanical scalp oil built on grape seed and camellia seed oils, two of the lightest carriers available, with rosemary, ginger, rice germ and turmeric through the middle and vitamin E to keep the blend stable.
Lightweight matters more than it sounds. The single most common reason people abandon oiling is that the oil felt heavy and took three washes to shift. Ours is designed to come out in one.
How to use it
Apply to dry hair, parted in sections, directly on the scalp rather than the ends. Five to eight drops for shorter hair, ten to fifteen for longer. Massage with fingertips for two to three minutes, leave it overnight, then shampoo before adding water the next morning. Once or twice a week.
That last detail saves more frustration than anything else here. Water hits oiled hair and beads straight off, so shampoo applied directly to dry, oiled hair lifts it in one wash instead of three. Our guide to the head spa at home covers the full routine.
What to realistically expect
Softer hair and more shine within the first few uses, since those are surface effects. Less breakage during brushing and styling after four to six weeks of consistency. Anything cumulative sits at three months or beyond, because the hair growth cycle sets that pace rather than any product does.
What a cosmetic oil won't do is change your genetics, alter hormonal patterns, or treat a condition causing hair loss. If you're seeing sudden, patchy or rapid shedding, that's a conversation for a GP or dermatologist rather than a bottle of oil.
Common questions
Will it make my hair greasy?
Not if you use the right amount and wash it out correctly. Greasiness almost always traces back to applying too much, or to rinsing with water before shampooing.
Can I use it if my scalp is already oily?
Yes, though less often. Once a week is a sensible starting point, with fewer drops.
Why does nothing seem to work on my hair?
Often porosity. It determines how readily your hair takes anything in, and it's why the same product suits one person and not another. Our guide to hair porosity explains how to tell which you have.
